Coach Lake is currently the U13 Age group Director, Associate United FC Coaching Director, and U13 Girls Team Head Coach.  Has been with the club since the start of the United FC club in 2005.   Coach Lake holds a NSCAA National License and a USSF "D" License   Soccer coaching resume: 89-92(boys)-95(girls)at Case HS, 93(boys)- present at Racine St. Catherine's HS 96(girls)-present at Racine St. Catherine's HS. 2008-Present RASA Board Member 89-99 RSC and Spartans Coach 2005-Present United FC Coach   This year (2010) will be coach Lakes 21st yr coaching HS and Club soccer. As Girls and Boys Coach at Racine St. Catherine's he has totalled 15 Conference Championships and has two State Runner up showings (01 boys and 07 girls)and a 2009 Boys Division 3 State Championship.   He was COY (Coach of the Year) in Racine county (95, 00, 07), WSCA Div. 2 COY in 2000, 2009 NSCAA Boys State COY, 2009 WSCA State Private School COY and NCSAA Regional COY nominee in 2000 and 2008, 2009.   Since coaching HS soccer he has coached a total of 65 players that have moved on to play in college soccer.  Adding to that list are 7 players from the 2009-2010 teams this year from the boys and girls St. Catherine’s Soccer Program.   In 2009 Coach Lake helped spear head the Lockwood Play Project with his Boys and Girls HS teams (2yr Project)and helped develop an adaptive playground. He was recently nominated for the 2010 KADSG (Kenosha Area Disability Services Group) Silver Award. He is currently working on the RASA EAST project.       As HS asst coach he has been to the (WISAA) State finals three times(95-97) with St. Cats and to two state tournaments in (91,93) with Case HS.   Playing Soccer:   RASA 80-85. Played club for Racine United 86-88, Cedaburg Strikers 88-89, Case HS 84-88, and UWP 89-91.   Coach Lake has had many influential coaches that have coached him (Greg Winters, Mark Litton(Milwaukee Wave), Dan Stone, Skip Willms, Rick Kilps(UW-Parkside) and the "Legend" Larry Lake (father)long time Rec and Club coach who has three State Cup Championships. Coach Lake has coached with one of the winningest HS coaches in the state, Tony Guinn current Division 1 Western Illinois Womens coach from 1993-2000 at Racine St. Catherine's HS.   Ben is currently employed at KHDS in Kenosha and is the Children's program manager which serves families in Kenosha County that have a child with a disability. He resides in Racine county with his wife (Mary) and his two children (Mara and Spencer).
